Apprentice Procurement Support Officer

2-year fixed term Apprentice Procurement Support Officer.

Due to growth and as a result of a previous successful apprentice programme we are looking for an Apprentice Procurement Support Officer, to join the Healthcare Procurement & Market Management Team. The team of 19 provides end to end procurement support and advice to a wide array of customers across the health sector including NHS England and North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board. No previous experience is necessary as full training and support will be provided from our highly experienced team; however, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role.

This post will prove an opportunity to apply for a permanent post with ongoing continuous development providing successful achievement of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification level 4 at the end of the 2-year period.

We offer hybrid working in this role meaning that the successful candidate will work from a mixture of locations including home, NECS offices and customer locations, the candidates base will be either Newburn in Newcastle or John Snow House in Durham. Frequent travel may be required for the post however reasonable adjustments can be made.
