Restaurant Supervisor
Thurrock Garden Centre LtdFull Time Restaurant Supervisor required in Woody’s, Thurrock Garden Centre’s buzzing restaurant.
A dynamic, efficient team player is required to join the Woody's Restaurant team, five days per week including one day at the weekends. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to overseeing the daily running of the restaurant operation, as part of Woody's management team. Excellent customer service skills and previous supervisory experience in a catering or retail environment are essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Cash handling/responsibility for till operations
· Overseeing daily duties and delegating appropriately across the team
· Staff training and development
· Customer care
· Maintaining and improving our high standards
· Overseeing front of house and kitchen operations
· Serving customers, making coffees/hot drinks, serving food, clearing tables, general cleaning duties
· Staff performance management
· Taking charge of specified aspects of the department
· Proactively managing health and safety across the department
· Assisting the Senior Management in administrational duties
· Ensuring high standards of health and hygiene are maintained
Qualifications and Skills
· Level 2 or above food hygiene qualification desirable
· Good English and maths skills
· Experience in a catering environment
· Experience in a supervisory role or above, preferably within catering and/or retail
· Computer literate
· Professional demeanour
· Calm under pressure
· Adaptable and flexible
