Air Import Operator - 4on 4off days

We are working with an established freight forwarder near Heathrow, who are looking to recruit a lates Air Import Operator.

Working hours 4 on 4 off 7am - 7pm
This role is based in Feltham.

The role includes:

• Experienced Air Import Clerk required for a busy office,
• To arrange the importations of cargo by air
• Develop working relationships with customers
• Liaise with all relevant internal departments with regards to shipments
• Liaise with Airlines for BI and Shed transfers
• Arrange airline collections for transfer to ETSF
• Liaise with HMRC, Port & Plant health and other government bodies.
• Organise import clearances, PEACH entries and correct documentation relating to the movement of cargo.
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Key point of contact for Air Import Perishable customers
• Liaise with overseas office, partners and agents
• Strong administration and communication skills.
• Providing Import quotations for potential and current customer base.
• Issue invoices to customers
• Loading costs onto job record
• Self-managing and pro-active
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Reviews and addresses accounting discrepancies
• Dealing with any queries or problems with regards to customers and shipments
• Dealing with rates, accounts, Invoices and claims
• Complete reports .

Essential requirements

• Previous Air Imports experience within perishables Air Import environment
• Experience of custom entries CCSUK/ Cargowise
• Excellent knowledge of all requirements for perishable imports, PEACH, DEFRQ, PORT HEALTH
• Willing to cover other shifts when required
• Experience of ETSF processes.

Salary GBP30K to GBP37K depending on experience
