Are you an experienced CNC Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity in Northumberland? Look no further! Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a leading company specializing in precision engineering, and we are seeking a skilled CNC Estimator to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer drawings and specifications to determine the manufacturing processes required for CNC machining operations.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for CNC machining projects, considering material costs, machine time, labor costs, and any additional expenses.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to evaluate the feasibility of proposed projects and provide input on manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Review and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and CAD models to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and materials, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather all necessary information and clarify project details.
  • Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and bids, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered within specified timelines.
  • Track and monitor project costs and provide regular reports to management, highlighting any deviations from the estimated budget.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and guidance during customer negotiations and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to estimates, quotes, and project specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Estimator or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in CNC machining processes and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for calculations.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
