Warehouse Operative (Nights)

Reports to: Shift Leader / Senior Operative

Start date: 22/05/23

Job Brief: We are looking to recruit an experienced warehouse operative to become a long-term member of our team. We supply just in time parts into 2 JLR sites in Birmingham and in house training on our MHE/scanners will be provided for the successful candidates.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (overtime as required)

Shift Times: Monday – Thursday 19.30 – 06.00 (40 hours per week with 30 minutes unpaid beak per shift)

Pay Rate: £27256.32 per annum (£10.92 p/h + 20% night shift allowance)

Job specifications / duties

• Drive HLOP to pick parts
• Use handheld scanners to ensure correct parts are picked
• Decanting parts from bags / cardboard boxes into delivery bins
• Wrapping of pallets
• Use reach truck to put deliveries away in pallet racking
• Unload/load trailers with counterbalance FLT
• Learn and be able to complete goods in process
• Good housekeeping to ensure the warehouse is always tidy to a high standard

Key skills needed to apply for this role

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous use of MHE – even if out of date refreshers can be provided
• Previous experience of using handheld scanners preferred but not essential
• Basic knowledge of warehouse goods in advantageous
• Keen to learn new skills
• Reliable
