Full Job Description
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has re-designed its Pathology services following Trust mergers and now has an opportunity for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist within the field of Haematology.

The post holder will be highly skilled in the use of the latest biomedical techniques and complex instrumentation alongside more traditional manual methods of investigation. The individual will be expected to apply professional judgement and utilise specialist skills and knowledge to provide a timely result service to the clinician. The individual will be committed to formally maintaining their specialist skills and knowledge by appropriate training and self-education.

We provide a 24/7 diagnostic service and we can offer full time hours covering day, evening, night and weekends.

If you have the qualifications and experience and wish to develop your knowledge and skills in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, we are waiting to hear from you.

The individual is responsible for the delegated tasks involved in the delivery of a clinical pathology service that enables the highest standards of patient care.

In addition the biomedical scientist will, under the guidance of senior biomedical scientists, supervise, train and mentor biomedical support workers, trainee and newly appointed Biomedical Scientists.
