Full Job Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to work within our busy Employment Law Department which is based at our North Manchester office.

This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, free parking and we also provide an extensive list of staff benefits.

Requirements and details of the role:

This role will involve assisting the Employment team on a variety of employment law issues which include:

  • Drafting legal documents including, contracts, agreements and statements
  • Liaising with clients, experts, barristers and third parties
  • Organise diaries, schedule meetings and respond to telephone enquiries
  • Carry out office administration, such as writing letters, billing and time recording
  • Research into niche employment law areas
  • Database management

You will also be required to assist in group litigation claims and full training will be provided. This includes:

  • Speaking to interested claimants
  • Provide initial advice
  • Maintain accurate excel spreadsheets
  • Commencing ACAS early conciliation
  • Preparing claims to the Employment Tribunal
  • Corresponding with administrators and the redundancy payments office
