Full Job Description

Summary:

Uses CAD drafting techniques to provide support to fabricators by preparing layouts, detail drawings, sketches, and diagrams for the production of various industrial, architectural and ornamental metal projects. i.e. flow panels, racking, chutes, assemblies etc.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• Perform accurate field measurements to translate into layout drawings
• Create and assist in the production of drawings for design development, fabrication and installation for misc. steel projects
• Work closely with project architects, general contractors and builders to interpret/resolve design issues, as required
• Manage nesting software for fiber laser and press brake
• Work closely with the fabrication team to interpret/resolve layout and/or detail issues

Skills/Requirements: * Has a solid understanding of Solidworks drafting techniques and terminology

• The ability to quickly convey information through sketching
• The ability to accurately measure and record field measurements
• Computer literate, experience with Solidworks

• Self-motivated, organized, and strong communication skills
• The candidate must be interested in working within a collaborative atmosphere

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
