Medical Education Assistant (Admin Assistant)

The Medical Education Service based in Musgrove Park Academy has a 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours) band 3 role available.

The successful candidates will become an integral part of the Medical Education Team and be involved in the administrative service supporting Medical Education. The potholder will take an active role in supporting the provision high quality teaching facilities housed in Musgrove Park Academy (Education Centre).

The role of Medical Education Assistant will be to support the education services provided to postgraduate doctors in training working across Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Postgraduate Medical Education Faculty and Educational/ Clinical Supervisors.

This role would be an ideal next step for someone who has completed an NVQ level 2 in customer service/ business admin, someone who is currently doing a level 3 NVQ in business admin.

The job would also be suited someone already working at a band 2 or 3 who enjoys face to face contact with service users who would relish being part of a service educating tomorrows doctors.

Full training will be provided for all elements of the role.

The role is also suited to someone wishing to undertake an NVQ level 3 in admin.
