Technical Manager (L450)

Loughborough Town Hall is looking to recruit a Technical Manager to join our team.

Loughborough Town Hall is multi-purpose receiving house theatre, Art gallery and venue, set in the heart of Charnwood in Leicestershire and welcoming over 100,000 people per year.

Hosting over 250 performances and events per year, including an award-winning annual pantomime, Loughborough Town Hall has a varied programme attracting nationally acclaimed acts and productions across the world of comedy, drama and musical theatre.

The role will be responsible for a team of permanent and casual Technicians, where you will ensure we are able to offer the highest standards of technical support to the wide variety of performances and events each year.

You will be able to develop strong relationships with your colleagues, show producers, and contractors and being responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard. This is a varied role including a good mixture of planning, management and practical technical work.

This role will also act as lead technical contact in delivering the venue’s award-winning annual pantomime season and work closely with regular users of the venue including local theatre groups and performing arts academies.

The ideal candidate must have experience of liaising with producers and technical departments in managing visiting show requirements, strong stage management and Lighting/Sound experience, and demonstratable building and equipment maintenance management.
